This link pointed me to Garrett Mirror Support Company who have been in business for 60 years. The Garrett representative was quick to respond to my email and as their website states I was assured that their product is a high-quality steel mirror support that is durable, long-lasting, easy to assemble, and most importantly safe. I live in Idaho and they are headquartered in Lexington, North Carolina. We arranged for UPS shipment which arrived in a timely manner. |
| Because our mirror's unusual construction, we had to place the brackets on masonite on the backside top of the mirror, (which had 1/8 offset) and directly on the wood at the bottom of the mirror and the dresser. So our solution was to place a couple fender washers under the clamps and to use longer screws. We drew a template on a piece of poster board to help in placement of the supports on the dresser. |

In addition to the installation directions that are shipped in the package, their website gives clear and easy to follow Instructions for Attaching Common Sense Mirror Support
If we had not found Garrett Mirror Support Company searching the internet, our yard sale treasure would have been a dust gathering white elephant. We are thrilled with this superior solution to attaching a heavy duty mirror to a dresser. Two separate pieces of furniture are now extremely sturdy and well worth the investment.
